Even though our local association (Placer County Association of REALTORS®) is not participating in the 2011 Nationwide Open House (sponsored by the National Association of REALTORS®), the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® is!
If you are a REALTOR® interested in adding your Greater Sacramento Area Open House to their list of open houses, please "Like" the SAR Nationwide Open House Facebook Page and post your open house info on their wall or email your open house info to jwegener@sacrealtor.org.
• REALTORS® across the country will host the nation’s largest open house weekend, Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5, 2011.
• REALTORS® will hold open houses in neighborhoods from coast to coast, bringing value to both buyers and sellers.
• REALTORS® Nationwide Open House Weekend not only brings buyers and sellers together, it is also an opportunity for Realtors® to connect with consumers in their communities about the housing issues that matter most to them.
• REALTORS® Nationwide Open House aims to engage consumers regarding the benefits of home ownership to families, communities and the economy.
• REALTORS® will be present at the open houses to offer expert insight into the local housing market and answer questions from consumers concerning the home buying and selling process.

Great information here Leiliani! I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to partipate or not. I'm not a big open house fan but have a couple listings that would be good to hold open.

Leilani, a lot of agents held open houses on Thursday, since a lot of people are too busy with relatives in town or they are out of town for Memorial weekend.
Rebecca, I've also heard that twilight open houses can be a success...especially if the open house is on the way home! :)
