The lowest priced home is amazing. You couldn't put that little down on a home down here.
I realize that, Tim...from Orange County! That amount wouldn't even cover the annual property taxes on a home in your local area! :)

Leilani, I have been doing these for El Dorado Hills too! They are fun to look at! Hard to believe a house for $17K!!! Great job!!!
The smallest at 360sq ft! Must be someone with a very active lifestyle who isn't home to much. Great series Leilani!
Great post, Leilani! I really enjoyed reading it. I cannot believe the 360 square foot house! The "fire sale" house is amazing, too! Hope you don't mind if I use this idea and look for extreme home information in my area!
Great info. What is the story on the "Kool aid estate" Inventor of kool aid or kool aid drinkers ??
Leilani, you could definitely put the smallest house into the largest or most expensive house with no problem...
Leilani, 360 sq ft --- you really WOULD have to go outside to change your mind, and come back in, and for it to sell for $30K - WOW!
Leilani,
The $5000 house reminded me of the homes my Father was buying in 1966, in Santa Rosa. Even then he was paying twice that price though. Great series!
Steve
Good evening, Bob & Leilani. What a fun post! (I’ll have to check out the extreme homes in my area!)
Thanks, DeeDee! I'm going to stop by your blog and check out your EDH posts...these types of posts are indeed fun to look at! :)
Leilani
P.S. $17k was the asking price...can you believe it SOLD for $5k?
Anita, I think that person must also be a minimalist, living in only 360 sq. ft.! :)
Leilani
Oh no, not all all, Nina...I'm looking forward to reading your blog to learn about the "Extreme Homes" in your area! :)
Leilani
Nicole, my best guess is that this was the home of the Kool Aid inventor or heirs. :)
Leilani
I never thought of it that way, Rebecca...but how clever of you to come up with that! It's so true! :)
Leilani
Joan, I could also just imagine how it went if the buyer brought family and/or friends for a "second opinion" before pulling the trigger...a 360 sq. ft. home could get crowded pretty quickly! :)
Leilani
Well, Steve...I'd venture to say that the house your father was buying was not in a fire! :)
Leilani
Thanks, Bill! Yes, please do check out the extreme homes in your area...it's a great way to become "instantly" familiar with any particular city! :)
