Photos & Experience at the 9/12 Tea Party Rally in Sacramento, California

Photos - 9/12 Tea Party Rally in Sacramento, California

Yesterday, Bob and I rode our bike to the 9/12 Tea Party Rally at McClellan Park in North Highlands, near Sacramento, California. The weather was a perfect 85 degrees during the ride and until about 1:30pm or so...then it felt like 95 degrees on the asphalt! There were a variety of speakers who discussed politics, taxation, government, tea party history and the local chapters. Here is a photo that I took with my iPhone:

There are some definite benefits to riding a motorcyle to an event like this, like easy parking...but a couple of negatives I experienced were: I couldn't buy anything (well, Bob may not think of that as a negative!) because we don't have saddlebags on the bike and I didn't want to carry a backpack, and we couldn't bring any signs like some people did, like "You Can't Fix Stupid, But You Can Vote It Out." :)

Here is one take-away that I managed to carry home, a pocket version of The Constitution of the United States:

There was one particular thing about this event that was very noticeable...for as many people that were there, plus the fact that they served food (sandwiches, salads, chips, drinks) - we all left the place spotless and clean. There was no need for a clean-up crew, as everyone disposed of their garbage properly...that was impressive and it makes me proud of our fellow patriots who attended this tea party rally! :)

Leilani, looks like it was a perfect day for a Tea Party rally! :)  Hopefully, the next election will clean house!

There are a lot fo photo comparisons of Tea Party Rally sites and "other" rally sites after the events.  Tea Partiers seem to be WAY more respectful of each other and the environment.  But, apparently that isn't the story the media wants to push...

Lane, I haven't seen any of those photo comparisons, but I can say that the Sacramento Tea Party was left amazingly clean yesterday...and I couldn't care less what story the media wants to push...I was THERE! Thanks for dropping by to read our blog! :)

Leilani - you tea partiers might be neat but you certainly are prone to violence. I know. I heard it on Ed Schultz (you know, that peace loving liberal commentater on MSNBC that wants to kick Fox News in the teeth) last night. You know,  Great pictures and reporting. I like that, You Can't Fix Stupid, But, You Can Vote it Out. Come Nov. 2 I hope that is what happens.

Mike, out of all the signs I saw, that was the one that stuck in my mind...You Can't Fix Stupid, But You Can Vote It Out!
