Oh, but he's MINE, Jane! Yes, he's my first little boy and he'll be turning 8 years old on Halloween. Time goes by so fast...I miss the baby puppy days! :)

They are truly the best, Sharon! This particular dog has the most expressive eyes and I do love the blue color...but as he got older, the blue eventually turned into brownish grey. :)
Marney, this was one of the photos his breeder in Italy sent us while we were waiting for him to get old enough to ship...I literally dreamed of this puppy every night during that time! Oh, and he is THE BEST and I'm even more head over heels now than before...although that seems impossible! :)

Romeo (pronounced like the Italians: "Roh-MAY-oh") will be 8 years old on Halloween and he is a Cane Corso ("KAH-neh COR-soh") imported from Italy, the country of the breed's origin. I am going to feature him on a "Happy Birthday" blog post (with all of his photos and show wins) on 10/31, but here's a sneak preview for you:

Such a great looking dog, Leilani. I'm guessing he's a member of the Great Dane family. I have never heard of a Cane Corso before. Gorgeous animal.

Liz, the Cane Corso is a molosser breed and in the mastiff family...Bob's aunt calls him "Marmaduke!" :)
