I have to admit that I've never heard of stacking dogs.  They look like real sweethearts.  Thanks for sharing with us this morning.  Have a great weekend.

Cute dogs.  The coats of the dogs in the bottom picture are really shiny and healthy looking.

You have two of them?

Yall, The dog stacking rage hasn't hit Texas yet! LOL.  Great photos.

Adorable.  Do they win at the shows?  They certainly have beautiful coats!

Posted by Marcy Eastham (Town & Country Realty Corvallis Oregon) over 2 years ago

That is absolutely adorable.  I'm not familiar with the term "stacking" at a dog show. What exactly does it mean?

Posted by Carissa Acker (Real Estate by Design with Keller Williams Realty) over 2 years ago

Fernando, the breed is a Cane Corso (an Italian working dog in the mastiff family) and I love their squishy scrunchaliciousness! :)

Dick and Dixie, if only this was a video, you'd hear how well they were snoozing! :)

Thanks, Sash! :)

Pat, thank you...I'm still working off my archived photos! :)

Verlyn, I came up with that headline on a last-minute whim...I only had the bottom pic and the title was "Double Decker Dogs" previously! :)

Yvette and Dennis, the first photo was a true demonstration of "stacking" dogs...the second one was just to be funny! :)

Thank you, Myrl! You should see how their coats glisten in the sunlight...so beautiful! :)

Jane, we started out with two of them, but we've since added to the family! :)

Funny, Susan! We stacked dogs in Hutto, Texas back in 2003...and that's where our boy in the top pic got his second Best In Show! :)

Marcy, thank you! Our boy Romeo was the #1 Cane Corso in 2004 and also the top male dog at the National Specialty, with 63 Cane Corso dogs competing and including a few Italian champions who traveled from Italy, the country of the breed's origin. :)

Thanks, Carissa! In plain English, the term "stacking" refers to the handler making the dog stand still at the correct posture so the judge can evaluate the dog at a dog show. :)

Hi Bob & Leilani,

Your title caught my eye!!  I learned something new today!  I had no idea what stacking meant!  Your dogs are beautiful!  Enjoyed your post and the photos!  Thank you for sharing!  Have a great weekend!

LOL!

Looks like they are a little tired after the event!

your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!

Charles, the dogs do get tired after dog shows (they miss out on their naps, after all) but they sleep soundly like this every day! If only people could be so lucky... :)

Apparently different situations require different postures ... and your dogs look comfortable in both!

Posted by John Novak - Las Vegas and Henderson NV Real Estate (Keller Williams Realty The Marketplace) over 2 years ago

They sure do, John! I love that they can be active outdoors and couch potatoes indoors. :)
