Bob and Leilani:  Wow... that top picture looks like something right out of some science fiction movie.  Actually... it looks like how the sky looked in the movie Independence Day.  Great pictures !

Great Pictures, I have to buy a new phone soon. I might get the iPhone.

Posted by Haris Dedic, Mount Prospect Real Estate (Prime Realty Group 847-878-2588) over 2 years ago

Now those colors are wonderful and the sunset a dream.  All with the iPhone.  Wow.

Posted by Elite Home Sales Team Keller Wms. Realty over 2 years ago

I always enjoy a beautiful sunset.  A cloudy day provides an even more spectacular sunset. Thanks for sharing these pics.

Posted by Charles Perkins (Charles G. Perkins, CPA) over 2 years ago

Thank you, Karen! This beautiful sunset only looked like this for a very short time, so I'm glad I had my iPhone handy... otherwise, I wouldn't have had time to run and get my digital camera! :)

Haris, I LOVE my iPhone...for many other reasons besides the camera! :)

Elite, I am amazed at how wonderful some iPhone pictures turn out...especially after seeing some of the pics I took with previous cell phone cameras! :)

Charles, I do too...but I think to me sunrises are more special because it's rare that I see them! :)

Yes! I know, Jane...a night owl's habits are hard to break...but you're right, I need to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the morning! ;)

Very cool.

It's amazing how PDA's are getting more and more advanced at an accellerating pace.

Makes you wonder what phones will be like 10 or 20 years from now.

Pretty scary.

Maybe we'll all be able to transport ourselves via our cellphones!!!

Beam me up, Ralphie! ;p

Leilani

P.S. For those of you too young to know what I'm talking about, the phrase "Beam me up, Scotty!" is from Star Trek...I'm not a trekkie, but as I was born in the 70's, I heard this phrase all the time. :)

Bob and Leilani -- gorgeous shots.  I have an iPhone too but somehow mine don't come out quite like that  ;-)

Posted by Rick Pelleriti-MBA. Freedom Mortgage (Freedom Mortgage) over 2 years ago

Here's a little secret, Rick: when it comes to low-light situations like this, you have to be extra-steady with your hands and hold your breath before and during the shot. ;)

Wow! I'm Impressed. The only thing that stops me from getting an iPhone is 3 letters. I was hoping that Verizon would have picked up on the contract, but it does not look as if they will...

Hard to believe these photos were taken with the iPhone.  Just may have to purchase one for myself.

Beautiful shots Leilani. I don't think my camera could have done any better. Maybe it's your CA sky :)

Those are great shots of the evening sky -- and with your phone!  You must have steady hands to be able to do that.  Kat's new Canon camera has settings for sunsets, and built-in jitter control!

Posted by Alexander-Slocum REMAX Team - Vancouver WA Real Estate (RE/MAX equity group - Vancouver Washington) over 2 years ago

The top picture is amazing and I cannot believe the great quality from your cell phone!  Thanks for sharing!

Posted by Lisa Matykiewicz (United Brokers Group) over 2 years ago

Everybody's got a camera with them nowadays.  It's in the phone.  Certainly is neat for allowing those quick "get it now" shots.

Your's are beautiful!

Michael, I'm not sure whether Verizon will pick up the iPhone or not...but I switched from Sprint to AT&T and it wasn't a big deal. I've also had Verizon and T-Mobile in the past and my opinion is that none of them are outstanding...they all have their quirks! :)

I agree, Debbie...and the iPhone has the best quality by far out of any of the phone cameras I've had! :)

Rebecca, you'll absolutely LOVE the iPhone...and it won't be mainly because of the camera! :)

Susan, I'm glad I gave you nice start to your Saturday and I hope it was a great one! :)

You're welcome, Chain...I agree...I think the top one is quite fabulous, myself! :)

Michael, the sky was so memorable that it was an absolute MUST to photograph...I'm just glad the photo came out as beautiful as it did because I wasn't sure it would when I took it! :)

Lee & Carol, it very well could be...the sky was just so amazing that it would be hard to capture a bad photograph of it. :)

Alexander-Slocum, the only tricks I have up my sleeve when trying to keep still for photographs is holding my breath and taking more than one photo! :)

Lisa, you're welcome and I'm proud to share something as amazing as the glowing beauty of the sunset. :)

You're absolutely right, Erby! I wouldn't have had time to retrieve my digital camera and capture the beauty of this sunset...it would have been too late if I didn't have my iPhone camera with me! :)

Thanks, Gregory! :)

I agree, Patricia...my iPhone is indispensable! :)

Caron's, like I tell everyone, you won't regret getting an iPhone! :)

Robert, thanks for the referral to that group, I will join it now! Also, THANK YOU for featuring this post in your group! :)

Steve, you'll do great...just remember to hold your breath when taking photos and take more than one! Also, THANK YOU for also featuring my post in the Silent Saturday group! :)
