Swordfish? Looks pretty similar to what I ordered last week... either way, was it tasty?
Sorry, Ashley...it's not swordfish...but it was VERY tasty (it's my second favorite sushi)!!! :)
Leilani
I know, I now - it's fish.
Ahi tuna!
Jane, you're close but no cigar! :) Try again?
Leilani
P.S. I'm looking for a specific answer...Jane's right about it being tuna, but it is not ahi (aka "yellowfin") tuna.
:( Akami Tuna
All right, it's time for me to give it up! It's "shiro maguro" or albacore tuna. The photo does not quite demonstrate the proper preparation (which is lightly searing the tuna prior to slicing it and drizzling the prepared nigiri with ponzu sauce) but at least it has the typical garlic/green onion topping. Thanks for joining me in Sushi 101! :)
Leilani
Thanks for the answer because I would have failed the test!
Irene, maybe this was too tough for Sushi 101...it should have been reserved for the final exam! :)
Leilani
Could you send some to Florida? That looks good -- I'd love some more Sushi 101 :)
Sounds fun, Shoshana! I'd love to continue Sushi 101...going to look at my photo archives now. :)
Leilani
Oh no, I would have guessed salmon. It looks a little light, but it has the same pink color. Oops:)
