Why Not Jing Instead of Snagit? Image Screen Capture, Video Screencasting, Instant Sharing
I just downloaded Jing (free) for capturing images and recording on-screen videos...it's a great alternative to Snagit ($49.95) and both are products of TechSmith. Here is a description of each program, as described on TechSmith.com (BTW, I used Jing to capture this on-screen image!):
I just experimented with Jing's markup tools, using the arrow and text features in this Jing-captured image:
I haven't used it with Twitter or Facebook yet, but that's where I'm headed next...so far, I think I'm really liking Jing - it's simple to navigate (I recommend you watch the 3-minute video after you install the software), it has a neat set of markup tools and it's FREE! :)
