Motivational Monday - Planning Your Path In Order To Reach Your Destination
Although I didn't do any rock climbing when I took this photo at the 2009 Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival last weekend, I have done it in the past. It is quite an exhilarating experience and one that I recommend to everyone to try at least once!
The adrenalin rush that overcame me as I climbed the rock was unlike anything I've felt before...it was more calming than exciting, if I could explain it in words. Rock climbing is a different adrenaline rush than public speaking, competing or speeding...it's more of a self-fulfillment rush.
A rock climbing experience also makes you choose the most useful tools to help you get to the top, meaning you use the strength in your legs to push yourself up instead of using your arms to pull yourself up.
Rock climbing exercises make you strategically plan your path in order to reach your destination.
Poor planning may result in failure to reach your goal...but if you fail, you can always try again.
